Which is the securest way of conveying SSN number / credit card numbers Over phone or email? or any other?
Often customer service wants to check our legit, before accessing accounts or creating.
And i often hear never tell over phone or email. anyother means?

NEVER GIVE YOUR SSN IN AN EMAIL! They are not a secure method of sending info. The phone (corded or 5.8ghz DSS) and encrypted websites are the way to go. In person is the most secure method available.
Do not do it over email. Phone only if it is a bank you know.
corded phone is the safest way. never do it on a cordless, i cant count how many of my neighbors conversations ive heard on my cordless
