Why is Equifax not reporting my information of credit history?

I got my first credit card in June of 2006. My payments have never been late. Every 30 days the credit card company reports account status to all 3 major credit reporting agencies. Transunion and Experian both are showing my account correctly, but Equifax is not showing it at all! I had to pay Equifax $20 for my credit report just to try to dispute it and now I get a bunch of crap for the customer service center. I know my credit card company is reporting my info. In fact just yesterday they did another report to Equifax and Equifax is still saying they have no record of the account. I'm really upset over this mess and I want an investigation by FTC and possibly the Attorney General for the state for the Equifax corporate office. What would you do? What is the best way to get immediate action?

Hello,

I had this happen to my wife. Here is what I did.

There was nothing to dispute because they where not reporting anything.

Called the CC companies and asked for letters of credit showing she had paid her bill timely and was never late. Also make sure they right what your credit limit is in the letter.

Send that to Equifax and they will add it for $10.00 per CC or trade line.

Yo can also ad a 100 word consumer statement to your report. I would state you have AAA credit with XXXX and it is reported on your other credit reports. You have repeatedly asked equifax to include this good credit and they have refused. Send that to equifax with 10 bucks tell them to add it to your report. (they wont like that and maybe will work with you)

Also why did you pay for your report go get it free all 3 of em at AnnualCreditReport.com

I have included a link on alternative trade lines.

Good Luck!
DON't SAY IT, WRITE IT!
Your first job is to get the address of the head office. Mail them a certified letter stating your concerns and the poor cooperation that you have received from the 800 telephone number. Get the name/s of the person that you spoke to on the phone.

The link below will get you started on the right path.
Perhaps you could send your credit history from the other 2 places to show them what it should be? And keep writing, calling, until they fix it.Keep records of the attempts you have made. Ask to speak to the Top person at the credit place. Don't take no for an answer, Good luck 2 u!
Don't bother with any sort of investigation or complaint to any governmental entity. While you have a right to have any credit information concerning yourself in these reports be correct, you do NOT have a right to actually have any information there. That discretion belongs to Equifax.

With this information in mind, I would suggest trying to work with Equifax courteously and persistently, as has been suggested by other respondents to your question. IT may be just a technical error, but as long as Equifax is not reporting anything incorrectly about you, they are in no violation of any law.
Write to Equifax and tell them and make sure that your credit card people are reporting to them..
Equifax does not have to report anything on you ..If they were reporting wrong info about I could understand it does not effect your credit score because Equifax does not have your credit card info.I have my 3 reports and some C/C are not on all three reports .
