What does overdraft charges mean?

Answers:
It means that you did not have enough funds to cover a check and was charged a processing (or nonprocessing) fee for the item. Some banking institutes offer overdraft protection; each being slightly different.
A fee a bank charges you because you spent more money than you had in the account.
when you write a check for, say 100.00 dollars and you only have 25.00 dollars in the bank, you don't have that money in the bank to cover the 100.00. you will get charged by the bank
Lets say u bout something for 50 dollars and u only had 40, so the bank paid the rest and there was a fee for them doing this..
lots of headache and takes your money
