What is the best network? T-Mobile, Orange, 02 etc?

The best network is the one that works where you reside, work or places you often go to.

In my house, T-Mobile, Sprint and Cingular does not work. Only Verizon has the signal (and I live in a Washington DC suburb, not some rural area). T-Mobile told me that 1 mile away from my house, there is a signal -- but why get a mobile phone where you have to walk 1 mile just to get a signal?
