WHY OH WHY do banks send most of their staff off to lunch during our lunchtime??
Answer:
Because banks offer services not goods, so it'll cost them to hire a part-timer to cover lunches. It's the unfortunate truth.
But it's true they don't care about you or me, they're just there to make money off you, and while they have the right to treat you like crap if you ask for a loan and have a bad credit, they upper management has the luxury to eat out in fancy restaurants and go on "business trips" on the depositors monies. I have worked close with the top management and felt guilty about it, it's like stealing but legally. So i left.
cause it's lunchtime.
because they are intitled to one as well
Bankers don't need to be smart. They have lots of money to compensate.
Good question. Most banks are not very good models of efficiency and customer service.
It's just the way of the world. LOL
Many banks do hire "swing tellers", but they're hard to come by.
Because they are shortminded. They should have the ability to think that most of the working people goes to deal with errands during lunch time.
There are some other concerns related to how many hours an employee can work with no break or lunch time but I think with a good Human resources planning it is workable to help customers.
