Does anyone recomend the JOHN BECK realty program for a 17 year old? Because i heard it was a scam?
Answers:
I don't recommend any of the realty programs for anyone.
I have worked in commercial real estate after starting with residential real estate and the amount of work required to truly turn a profit is substantial. Many of the programs out there are a scam of sorts. You might make money, but it will be a very small amount.
And as a seventeen year old it may not be possible to legally enter into the contracts necessary to complete real estate transactions where you live.
If you are legitimately interested in real estate check with your local community colleges to see if they have a real estate certification program. Or better yet a two year degree program that includes the real estate classes. Go to school, get your license and then find a major real estate company that has a program to teach you how the business works. (Re max and Century 21 are both excellent for a first place)
After two-three years you will have the knowledge you need to really be successful. And you will make a fairly good income while you are learning the ropes. If you take the time and are willing to put in the effort after a few more years you will have an excellent career that provides a good income.
I know this is probably not the answer you would like to hear as when I was seventeen the idea of four to five years of learning was not something I looked forward to. If you do go through the process real estate is a wonderful and lucrative career. It just takes time.
