Question about where i should work at...McDonald's Or Kmart?

I worked for kmart for 4 years and your friends are right..they are a pain in the * to work for. The only good thing about working for them is having retail experience. With retail experience, it will be alot easier for you to get a job elsewhere. I've never worked for McDonalds but I have relatives that have and they moved up the ladder pretty quick and made some good money. Working as a cashier, you have to deal directly with customers...working at McDonald's, you will probably be working away from them. I guess I would weigh the pros and cons of each and decide which one would fit your needs better. Good luck!!

If your a gamer work at game stop or if your competent work at mc donalds because that place needs a worker with common sense.
Either one will be about the same. Mcdonalds will stay open later, and it gets hot behind the counter there. KMart sounds easier to me.

If you can work any where else than fast food take that first. Fast food, like McDonald's are places you only work if you have no other alternative as it just really really sucks, that and telemarketing sucks too.
McDonalds is less pay and you will be around a lot of grease. Grease = acne. I would do K-mart. Isnt there anything else?

I worked at Kmart for three years. My dad worked there for 10. Kmart sucks. It's an easy job though. They fired both me and my dad, for no reason. We took them to court.
I think you should go with whatever YOU want. If u work at mcdonalds you will get free food, and if you work at kmart you get discount. Personally I hate mcdonalds and all its carbs and that clown, but its not like you have anything to buy at kmart when you can go to walmart or the mall. I think you should go with mcdonalds. Isn't it amazing that both of those companies make BILLIONS of dollars every year - BILLIONS - but they won't pay their workers a decent wage? That really just astounds me. They are the ones that payoff our legislators so that they don't raise minimum wage to a decent level or force them to give their employees a decent insurance plan. Unreal.
But, if you have to make a choice, I would go to Wally's World. The reason is, if you work at the grease bucket, you will have to wear a uniform and you will smell like fried food when you leave.
mcdonald's isnt really a good place to work, people don't treat you well. i say kmart.

I don;t know where you live but I worked at a pizza shop in my local grocery store (Wegmans) through high school and college and it was the best job ever. i have even thought about going back part time for some extra cash
