Are there barclays banks in north america?

barclays loan agency is extending me a loan from a Nigerian branch. I want to know if this is a scam.

There are Barclays banks in major financial districts but their American business really is corporate or for high net worth investors.

But there is no way they would be trying to set up any facility from Nigeria.

As most other replies have suggested it is some sort of scam from Nigeria where so many of these frauds originate. Stay clear !
Google the address or branch of the bank concerned, but it sounds very much like a scam to me.
