I'm okay with with customer service outsourcing to India, but why is it so difficult to talk to a supervisor??

If at all it is your experience, you have to blame the company whose client you are. The employees work under the instructions of the Principal and if the Principal want queries answers to be avoided, delayed or skipped, the hierarchy of positions has to obey that. Catch hold of your company and seek their explanation. If any thing wrong exists in call centres, it would automatically be removed/rectified if your company is honest and willing to do so.
What do you mean?. I always was able to talk to a supervisor when the call warrants it.
It really depends on the company. Most company's that I call, I get a machine. I don't really know what to tell you. Some you can, some you can't.
Because Might be sometime you don't give good performance and you feel scared that your supervisor will put more pressure on you or he won't be happy with you.But you know If you are satisfied with your performance ,Forget about supervisor because they also know ,but they don't say.It happens.
Don't be nervous otherwise you won't be able to get good position.Your confidence always lead you for good success.
