I suggest that you might write a report on the failure of the recent "Doha round" of international trade negotiations. As you do your research, you'll find all sorts of web-sites that will express opinions on the reasons for the failure. Some people will lay the blame at the feet of developed nations. Others will lay the blame at the feet of less-developed nations. Each side will have reasons for telling you who was to blame. I suggest that you start out by identifying the purpose of the "Doha round" (what was it supposed to accomplish) and then choosing one single issue, such as "food aid", and exploring the different positions on that issue that were taken by the various negotiators. In other words, who wanted what? Why couldn't they agree?
