Is the company with the highest Gross Margin the most successful and profitable company?



Answers:
No. Gross Margin is just the sales price minus the cost of goods sold. A company could have a very high gross margin, but if they are paying too much in rent, or salaries, or utilites, etc., they could still lose money. Total Net Profit would be a better indicator of a successful company.
