Gunman "drill" at elementary school?

OK who came up with this bright idea? telling elementary kids there is a person with a gun in the area and they should run for cover. were these teachers on crack at the time? i think each one should be fired and lose their credentials to teach. these people are sick. sounds to me like they wanted the attention they knew this would bring when it hit the media. what a bunch of morons

People complain either way. If the institution is not prepared, parents complains about what they should have done & now school taking the precaution & preparation there is more judgement & complains... the idea of a gunman in an elementary school is sick & u and I can't control the sick thoughts of an individual that would do that but wouldnt u want the school to be prepared if it does occur.. Not wanting to pay the utilities bills doesnt make it disappear & non-existent....
i think it IS a bright idea. first of all most schools will tell them it is a drill, just like a tornado drill, or a fire drill. all it is meant to do is show the kids how they should react in that case and with more and more schoolshootings it is a good idea, i am sure if u have a child in that school and god forbid something would happen u would hope they r able to keep your child safe. actually i think i will bring it to our schools attention to see if it can be added to the drill list.
i have kids also. i really think this was messed up!! You should never scare a child like that.
