How much per hour do you think a company would pay an intern?

The internship would be an IT position. Would it be different if it was an academic internship vs. internship?

Answers:
That's a question that is really dependent on a lot of separate factors. For example, what area of the country is the job in? How large is the company? How much experience do you have?

If it's an academic internship, I believe you work for free at many places. I've heard of people getting paid through academic internships (not much, just to cover room & board and other light expenses), but not often.

Remember, an internship is usually described as a position to "get your foot in the door," so to speak, so that you have a chance at climbing the ranks and making big money. So you should not expect to make a lot of money just starting out. They want to see what you have, and they want to train you to their method of thinking and working. If you succeed, you will make good money soon enough - just be patient.
"intern" means u don't get paid...it is the experience that you are gaining
