I recently appllied to Albertsons. Is it necessary to send a thank you note?

It has been four days since the interview and no call back. The interview was on Friday. Should I call them?

Send a typewritten thank you note, thanking them for taking time to tell you about the open position and letting them know you are very interested in the job. Then call a few days later to check in.

It is very important to contact the interviewer and say thank you. Either do this by email or a phone call. It demonstrates professionalism, and politeness.
Send a thank you letter or call and inquire. If you don't follow up they will think you don't want the job so bad. It's good to be persistent to a point..don't go so far as to annoy them, though.
