Tons, but how much have they made? Much more than they invested. Communist China is different than what our parents dealt with. Yes they are still communist, but they have allowed for foreign trade. Wal-mart is not the only company making money over there.

It was a smart move on Wal-Mart's part to expand outside of the US. They have saturated the market here and would have died without the external growth (ok that may be good or bad, but that is not for me to answer).
