What Kind of Companies have stock issued and traded Over-the Counter (OTC) and why do they ??

Answers:
Well from what I understand to be traded on the Nasdaq and NYSE there are certain requirements that need to be met (ex. stock price). Also the Nasdaq and NYSE have certain rules and regulations that companies have to follow to be listed

So most of the OTC stocks don't meet those requirements and probably a lot of other companies that would meet requirements trade on the OTC so they don't have to follow those regulations.
