Customer Service in the UK?

How do you feel about insurance companies calling you Sir/Madam over the phone when they know your name?

Answers:
Personally, I'd much rather they call me "madam" (or here in the States, "ma'am") since I don't know them. Mister or Miss/Missus and the last name is acceptable, too, but do not use my first name. My first name is reserved for use by friends and family.
Why in the UK, we should be called "Master" is we are statically higher. There are many people out beyond the galaxies with these problems.
Crap.call me by my name?
I think they should ask you how you wish to be addressed. That is the polite thing to do.
Fine by me, they talk to thousands of people, they'll get it wrong once in a while so they play safe by saying Sir / Madam. Would have to be total plonker to get that wrong!
i couldn't care less how they address me provided its polite and don't try to sell me insurance
