I work at Toledo Jeep Wrangler assembly plant and received a letter today saying that Cerberus was in for the long haul and is putting billions of dollars into Chrysler.They have promised 200 million for our pension fund while Daimler is putting in 1 billion over the next 5 years into the pension fund.Chrysler has some of the hottest selling vehicles right now,the Jeep Wrangler is the #1 selling vehicle in the US right now.They also have the Jeep Patriot which is selling brisk,50% of the van market,Dodger Ram set sales record in 2006 and the new Dodge Challenger coming out.They will have to get rid of some of their SUV's so I believe in the future you will see more job cuts.
Chrysler was doing great before Benz bought them. They were aggressive and brought new designs to market quickly. Benz is conservative and methodical. Chrysler will do very well. Thank you, Sarbanes-Oxley. The corporation is dead, thanks to our morons in Congress.

With Chrysler out, Daimler may fused again, one more time, with Benz to Daimler-Benz.
