You can do it two ways. One way is to temp for a company through a staffing agency. That is where you work for the staffing company, but actually work at another company for a certain amount of time.
The second is to set up a contact with the company to only work for a certain amout of time.
It depends on the company, but it probably mean the part or division of a company that review and deal with contracts the company enter into.
