Do you feel that younger boss's (managers) take advantage of their position?
Answers:
I think it all comes down to personality, but most of the time , the younger-less experienced managers tend to initially go a little over the top with their new found authority. Usually they are just trying to adjust to the responsibility, and it takes so time to be secure with their position. I guess they feel as is they need to prove themselves. After a while, they will learn that you catch more flies with honey than vinegar - as my grandma used to say !
attitude isn't shared by the young or old - but sometimes the young don't understand the balance of power.
Authority does not affect everyone the same way. I have worked with a few managers that were younger than I and we got along great. Some people, though, let the authority go to their heads. These people, which are usually arrogant and stuck up, are what's known as an a s s h o l e. These are the people who have few friends outside of work, and the few friends they do have usually act the same way. Just thank god they did not decide to go into law enforcement, which is where the majority of the a-hole population seems to be drawn.
