Could you compare corporate social responsibility and businee ethics?

I don't understand the differences and similarities between those two concept.
thanks

Answers:
Well I would say that social responsibilties for a company relate to how they treat their employees, customers, etc. To ensure good wages, pensions, happy working environments etc.

Business ethics involves what companies can and cannot do(in a moral sense) in order to get their profit. For instance, oil companies that are ripping resources out of Africa are in clear breach of good ethics. Companies like microsoft that squash competition in order to keep the tills rolling is also unethical.

So you see, social responsibilty is more to do with how companies treat their employees and business ethics is how companies treat disparate groups of people
