Does CNET own (download.com)?

I was searching for a free CD burning software in download dot com.
When I entered "CD+bruning" in the search bar, an error ocuured, obviously that's due to my misspelling of the word "burning".

I was wondering why I was told to try "CNET.com" for "CD bruning", but not in "download.com" .

Could you tell me if "download.com" is a subdomain under "CNET", or simply they are related and owned by the same company?

Answer:
Both are actually owned by "CNET Networks". Go to the "about us" sections of those websites.
