Does anyone here work for New York Life? Or Know about the company?
I've recently been contacted by New York Life for a position as an Agent and was wondering what I would be making approx
What are you thoughts?
Answer:
Most people who go into insurance will not survive the first five years. but for those who stay, it can bring rewards down the road provided you can continue to make your quota. Plan on making about $30,000 your first year by working like you never have before. lots of phone calls, meetings, no-shows, and "no thanks" await you. If you're good and can last, you'll be making over $60K a year. But here's something better if you pursue a path like this: become a financial planner with a major firm. You can still sell insurance, but you can also sell every type of investment with a Series 7. In five years you can make $100K a year or more. and you'll find much more repeat business because you are offering many more products than just insurance types.
try it its not a bad company if you dont like it you can go into banking little less harsher than insurance companies
