After i turn 65.how much money will i recieve from CPP and old age security...per month?
Answer:
I think it all depends on how many years you contributed to both. My Mother is presently getting $ 800 a month.
It is also questionable as to whether these will be available as the population ages and fewer people are contributing. So, make sure you also make contributions to your own retirement plans.Mutual Fund RRSP's etc.
it depends on how long you work and how much you make
If you have been a resident of Canada for at least 10 years after turning 18 your OAS pension would be a maximum $491.93. This could be reduced if your income
is too high before receiving the OAS.
Your CPP payments depend on the length of time you were contributing to the plan and also the amount you have been contributing.
I would advise you to check out the government web site for more information that would be very helpful.
The site: www.sdc.gc.ca
When there, go to the OAS site then FAQ's.
Hopefully this will be of some assistance for you.
