Where to find info. on housing developers' responsibilities?

I recently found out that my state is one of the few states that does not require housing developers to contribute towards public education in their development areas. Can anyone tell me where I can dig up the facts on this? I have tried various search terms in google with no luck. Thanks.

You know I cannot remember the name of the site, but there are law websites that provides specific information by state. When I had to find out about some stuff like that, it was a lot easier to call the city hall. They tell you where to go. They even let you have copies of the documents.

Also try to search on MetaCrawler.com instead of google, cause that site search all the major search engines like yahoo, google and msn at once. A lot easier.
Good Luck!
You may want to try the county office and talk with someone in the code enforcement department. Also chck with the department of education in your area to see what the rule are. I hope this helps
