Do you think wal-mart is good for the economy?

Answer:
walmart concentrates wealth into fewer hands. walmart is a leech on the local community. walmart trains their employees to seek out tax-funded services instead of providing company benefits. walmart contributes too much to conservative political causes. walmart accelerates our foreign imbalance of trade with China. walmart lowers everyone's expectancy of quality goods.

Summed up.not good.
Generally yes because successful companies are good for all of us. They need to provide benefits and pay people better and they will likely do that over time as pressure from politicians and consumers builds.
Wal-mart has almost made small and medium enterprises extinct. With everything available under one roof, nobody sees the point in going to a small or medium business, and as a result, the SME sector is suffering worldwide. This means that employers who once owned small businesses have no choice but to work for Wal-mart to make a living now. It is really sad, since many small family business legacies are now getting over, and this is going to mean wealth is in fewer people's hands, which includes the government and corporate bosses who are extremely greedy.
Absolutely! Wal-Mart is the perfect example of the capital market working it's magic. So long as you keep the gov't out of their business, we all benefit from their low prices due to their volumn selling. They are successful at what they do and many simply can't stand that fact, or want a "piece of the action."

I believe Wal-Mart has been a great blessing often unappreciated.
why not, go there and do some shopping, cheapest prices around.
