Why is Ebay a monopoly but Google not a monopoly?

Google actually makes most of their money from advertising, not search engine creating.

no other auction sites
ebay is a monopoly cuz its the only one
google is not the only search engine
i don't use google. i use other search engines.
EBAY is more of a monopoly because there isnt another auction site that does nearly enough business to compete with EBAY
Google competes with all other search engines like yahoo, msn, etc.
eBay is considered a monopoly because its the biggest on line auction site AND they now own pay pal too which is a necessary site for payment for eBay use
Google has competition and owns no other site that needs to be tied to it for use
