As to your question, ask revenue Canada if it's worth it and what tax bracket you will end up in. Check out their main site, if there is nothing on it to help you, I'm sure they have a phone number to ask in person. I've had to use their site many times (as a Canadian), and I've surprisinly found it incredibly easy to manuver around and use, and find the answers to my questions.

You'll be taxed, but will get benefits in return, like guaranteed health care. Are you currently paying for health insurance? Factor that price in.

I think taxes are fairly comparable b/w the two countries. but it also depends where you choose to live. The amount you're being offered is great-but may not cut it if you choose to live in B.C. try to look up some of the housing there-especially Victoria!! rediculous by Canadian standards. I'd say go for it- Canada is a great place to be! If your afraid of the cold-deal with it. The rest of us do.
Take it! The Canadian dollar is practically on par with US these days. Canada is awesome! It doesn't snow everywhere here, depends on where you're moving. Doesn't snow in Vancouver, BC and some of the more southern provinces get no more snow and often less than many northern states in the US. You will LOVE it here!
I am a Canadian and work here for i think good money ($35K) So if you are being offered 75K i think that is a great job opportunity.
I cant speak for the US but here you would be considered very well off.
Plus we have an excellent health care packages and so that would all be covered with you nice $$.
Are you coming on a work visa? That's what will answer your tax question. Our taxes are not really that bad, and if you want to share that 75K look me up!

When you compare cost of living,rent,cost of gas, and the like ...it's about the same but colder in some parts and more snow.
I would say take the job anyway. It will give you experience of living in another country. Stay a minimum of 4-6 years and decide whether to extend the stay there.that amount of time will give you an honest opinion of at least one different country.
Okay, I live in Montreal and yes I do think we get taxed alot here, but nobody says anything. I'm surprised they don't tax the air we breath.ha ha Canada is a beautiful place. People are very friendly. I'm not sure where you will be living but I am sure you'll like it here. When you work, there are 4 categories that will be removed on you paycheck. All depending on where you'll live. Provincial tax, Federal tax, pension, and unemployment. You have a pretty good job 75k what will you be doing? GOOD LUCK..
Where in Canada? I am in BC and it has snowed here maybe 5 inches last winter. Even if you are taxed more up here than there, you are still making killer money. You will be making $66,507 USD. Canada is a beautiful place to live. I would do it!
Please don't listen regarding the weather out here. American people don't know. I was wearing shorts and tanks in March. Eastern Canada is cold but its no Alaska. BC, AB, Sask is not that bad for snow. I've seen worse in Bellingham.
I would stick with the current. Canada is the best place to be, but does not give enough $$$ also depend on the CITY if you coming to Calgary, be prepare for the unexpected weather. People say' if you dont like Calgary's weather, just wait an hour or two' winter is crazy here. If its Vancouver be prepare to pay big money for everyday living. If in Saskatchewan/Manitoba be prepare to waste your life in dry desert. If you are going in east, Keep 50lb stones in your backpack so wind doesn't throw you in mud. If you are going to Quebec be prepare for some R/nek experience. If you are going to Toronto, dont leave US then.
