I love them all, however I am drawn to watercolor.i have a favorite one by Noel Betts.of the first cathedral in California, in San Fransisco.another watercolor, oriental.very serene.

I prefer oil paintings -- landscape (forest, mountains) or seascape (lakes or sea coast).
oil pastel for brightness and life.
charcoal, watercolor and pencil for class and elegance..
it depends on what the painting depicts.
I love all forms of art.. if its first piece, then it will be an oil painting in some rural theme in all earthy and rustic colors.
