I have a proxy for a company I didn't know I owned. How do I find out how many shares I have?
Answers:
Call the company that is on the proxy and ask to speak to the office of the Company Secretary. Not "any secretary", but the Company Secretary which is a position on the Board of directors responsible for keeping the company's equity and debt lists. That person's office is often in the CFO's office or it may be the CFO of the company itself.
