Has anyone ever heard of Citicorp, a division of citifinancial?

We are thinking about trying out this company with regards to mortgage, my friend has recently become a financial advisor for the corp. But I have never heard of it b4.

The are a US-based financial services (banking and insurance) firm, one of the world's largest.
Citicorp is the company that owns all the Citibank credit cards you see people using. It's one of the largest banking companies in the world. I haven't tried getting a mortgage with them myself, but I would think they would be a safe bet since they've been around for a long time and show no signs of being a fly-by-night outfit.
