What do you think would be a reason a board of directors would seek outside advice?
Answers:
In most cases, it has to deal with regulatory/legal issues as well as strategic planning, particularly for mergers and acquisitions. In general, it is done because the board does not believe it has the resources to affirm a decision, topic, or issue, upon itself so it seeks either validation, an answer, or an objective outside opinion from experts.
probably to keep things diplomatic and avoid conflict of interest
On what?
we all seek "advice" to better our business, except those who fail..
Possibly for some assurance of a possible decision made by a worker or to try and be sure that a bussiness/company wo'nt have to forfeit any possibly needed funds -- setting a company back or even to try and stop it from bankruptcy !?! .,."R"r`r,r'r,r`.
