I'm a instock supervisor which I was told is a level 7?

what I need to know is do I have control of other dept's and supervisors? like what needs to be done in the back room and making sure they bin there overstock. what they have on the sales floor. I was told I was the supervisor over the other dept supervisors!? is that correct?

Answers:
Let me guess, you work at Wal-Mart. An instock supervisor is a level 7 but, so are some of the Dept. Supervisors. Services areas like Electronics, Sporting Goods, TLE, any dept. with a register is also a level 7. You have no more authority then any Dept. Supervisor, just different job description. Your right though, the back room is your main concern and if say for instance the overstock in HBA is getting out of hand and clogging up the bins, then maybe you need to speak to the supervisor in that area. The only time you need to concern yourself with the salefloor is what your instock crew is doing out there and any notes you get from management. Binging of the overstock is the Dept. sup. job, because they need to inventory prep it before they put it in the bins.
