How long does a management consulting mission take ?

For an advertising network going through a merger, approx. 600 employees located in several countries.

2nd question : Would it be the same consultants that are carrying out the mission at the company's HQ that would eventually go to the international branches as well?

Answers:
I don't understand what you mean by "mission" - I am a management consultant and we call them "projects" so I assuming that's what you mean. Usually our projects take around 6-12 months, but it totally depends on the goal. As to your next question, perhaps. If they had a good understanding of the original project, it would make more sense for them to carry on the follow-up work than get brand new consultants.
Like KJ480 said, it usually takes me 6 to 12 months. I am in manufacturing though and have an emphasis on systems and QMS certification.
