Behavior that is in conflict with your values & sense of right & wrong can damage your self esteem ?

Answer:
yes it will because it will cause massive internal conflict leading to stress, nervousness / fear (will you get caught or found out?) guilt (why did I do it when I knew it was wrong?) self doubt.

Once that has been started it is hard to draw a line - if you do it once you will do it again? Did you enjoy it? Was it worth it? Are your values really that important?

In my life I believe we have values to guide us and when we compromise those what else do we have left? I have been offered many a backhander in business contracts and deals and I have never ever once even considered it for a split second because if I compromise my values when I know what is right and wrong how can I say no next time? If I can't win business on the basis of ability but only buying it then am I really that good? How good would I feel knowing I won the business because I had the deepest pockets - wheres the sense of acheivement in that?

Hope that helps - heavy topic to work through, good luck.
Yes
Yeah, if it makes you feel out of place.
Your self-esteem is really self-inflicted, so it really depends on how you take things. Your values and what is right and wrong is also something that you determine.
