What is a corporation?

Answers:
A corporation is an organization that is comprised up of many people working for them. Lots of people in a corporation can be anywhere from the ground level starting out like with a high school diploma up through a major executive position with higher education degrees. A major corporation will usually make lots of money and distribute it among the workers of the foundation. Mostly once the organization sets a mission into place it can be a major asset in the business industry..
A corporation is an artificial person created by the state. It is formed when a group of people, the incorporators, decide to start a business and they want to protect themselves from liability. By forming a corporation, they can lose only what they invest and they are not liable for the corporation's debts.

Once the state issues the corporate charter, the corporation exists and the incorporators can use it to operate a business. They issue shares of the corporation, in the form of stock certificates, in exchange for cash or other assets that the company needs to run a business. The shares represent the owners' interest in the corporation.

Initially, the corporation is usually a private company with shares held by a small number of individuals. If the corporation is successful and grows, it may eventually issue shares to the public. Such shares may trade in stock markets.

A corporation has an unlimited existence, although its life can be terminated by a liquidation or a bankruptcy. As an artificial entity, it is subject to income taxes on its earnings. Any earnings left over after paying taxes and all other expenses may be distributed to owners in the form of dividends.
