Get into the government by going online and applying. USAJOBS.GOV AND STUDENTJOBS.GOV. Make sure you have a resume even if there's not much on it but your education. Good luck.

Go to a volunteer site and look for receptionist positions. It's easier to volunteer as a receptionist. Once you do that for awhile then you can put it on your resume and get the job you want! :-) Good luck.
I got my job as a receptionist with no previous experience. Once graduating from highschool, i decided to go the job route & not the college way. I looked it up in the paper & just went for the interview. They said because I can type fast and had computer knowledge from classes in highschool that they would give me a shot. That was two years ago, i have now moved up to the office manager - you can not get experience unless someone gives you a chance, you learn most of what you know by doing it day by day=)! so honestly, just go give it a try, nothing to lose=)! good luck!!

Most receptionists had minimal experience when they started but during the interview they convinced the interviewer that they were the right person for the job.
