10. What kind of companies employ people in this occupation?

Answer:
Im not a therapist but my mother is one and i used to book massages for about 15 different therapists. So i can answer some of these questions for you. Some of the companies that employ therapists are spas and such alot of them get paid by commision so it really depends on the amount they charge and the percentage the business takes for their take. where i used to work they charged 65 and hour and the therapist would take home 45.55 and hour. most of the therapists became therapist to help people. The working conditions can be very demanding for a therapist. they can end up doing 5-6 different massages in a day at an hour apiece can be very demanding on your hands.
a lot of therapist go to a certificate course to become a therapist it can take 1,000 hours of schooling or more it just depends on what you deside to specialize in. and then after you do your schooling you have to finish a certain number of practice hours to accomplish your full certificate.
What is a "message therapist?" I think you meant "massage," my dear.
