How should I list on my resume one job (same job) for two companies as result of a merger?

should I be redundant and list the same job description twice, but for two separate companies? Is there a better way to list one job description, but for two companies?

Answer:
first write the job description, compnay name (company name before merger) and period of service.

next write the same job description, company name (company name after merger) and the period of service starting from the date of merger.
Its very simple, dont worry. you can list the one job only in your resume in the follwing way:

<Compnay Name> xx-xx-xxxx to xx-xx-xxxx , the total period
(mention the merger with xxx compnay w.e.f.)
and write your responsibilites / job descrition.

I thinkg it shoul be clear to you now, is it?
