if you are following up on a resume or application, find out when the manager works and what is a 'good day' to call him/her. try real hard to avoid the busy times of the day.
tell them you are checking up on the app you have already left for them. if you have not left one . . . DO NOT CALL. this would put you on their 'do not call' list.
Instead of calling, just go to the store and ask the customer service for a job application form.
