why did they leave their last job if they had a job
Try something novel like questions to which you would like to know the answers.
If you don't know what to ask the interviewee, why didn't you tell the person who asked you to conduct the interview that you aren't qualified to do it? If, on the other hand, you mean that YOU are the interviewee, brush up on your English before the interview.
I always ask at the end of an interview, "Is there something that you're looking for that I haven't yet given you, because I may be able to relate some experiences to you if so." It's a real zinger.
Have any of the other previous job holders commited suicide? How much sick time do I get? How much vacation time do I get?
Clarification questions are usually needed to make sure you're fully aware of what is expected of you and what the company values in their workers.
Good luck btw..
How soon will they make the determination (regarding who they are going to hire)- so that you are not wondering IF they are going to call in 3 days or a week or whatever.
Not sure the kind of job at the bank so there are not position specific questions that I can think of.
GOOD LUCK on your interview!
Alway ask them if they have any other questions about you. Then you may wish to learn more about the company. Ask how long the interviewer has worked with the company and their opinion of the workplace. Try to keep it short an presice.
The interviewee?
My question is, how can you be in charge of interviewing a prospective employee if you haven't a clue what to ask?
Perhaps YOU are the interviewee. If that's the case, I would ask the employer what they look for in an employee in consideration of advancement.
A real simple question that suggests that you are interested in advancement, looking toward a career, thinking about long term prospects and that you are willing to do what it takes to move up.
If you really meant interviewee, then you might ask a question that requires some deeper thought, just to guage how fast the answer arrives. For example, "Our parent company has branches all along the eastern seaboard and prefers to promote from within. Under what conditions would you consider relocation"?
There ya go!
Have fun
Ask the interviewer (YOU are the interviewee, btw), how s/he likes working at the bank, and would s/he feel comfortable recommending this position to a friend. Or, more specifically, "Although I've conducted research about the bank, and feel like a have a good grasp of their mission and company culture, something that's difficult to find out on line is the morale of the employees? Do you believe the average, hard-working employee who has goals for career advancement is happy here?"
