Do you loathe your job but feel guilty for complaining about it because you at least have one?
Answer:
Yeah, for sure. I am on forced leave for this month because I kept on coming to work late (well because I hated my job).Lately I realized, hey, at least I have one. And i'll be back.
I work with the public and some days I more then loath it. But yes at least I have a job and I can pay my bills. Thats more then some. But there are also alot of lazy @$$ people out there who don't wan to work.
Yup. Pretty much.
The job is okay. The company gives me killer benefits. I've been here a while and am paid well. We consolidated two locations, and I have to drive 40 miles one way. Stinks. The new boss is way into micro-management, and I do considerably less than I was allowed to do before, but I get the joy of having to clean up after him because he refuses to delegate, and the wonderment of accepting the blame for his messes as it is always misappropriated to the "team". Morale for the whole facility sucks.
Lack of management, and the managers unwillingness to allow others to do their job without his direct supervision is just.great.
Do I feel guilty about looking for another job. No. Will I feel guilty for leaving the rest of the team? Yes.
Do I feel lucky that I have a job. Yes. Do I wish I had another? Absolutely! I don't currently know anyone who cannot find a job, most of us just don't like the job we have.
