Well it is a long move but Minnesota is hiring for these kind of Jobs in Record Numbers. The Economy here is really booming. FYI Minnesota has more Million Ares per Ca pita ( not huge million Ares ) than any other state. So you can always look these facts up, but you can live very comfortably here for reasonable prices. Much cheaper than the east coast.
I have a joke about my home town. I wouldn't want to visit, but its a great place to live. I am in SE Kansas. Its mostly smallish, rural towns with agriculture or factory jobs providing most employment.
THe schools in the area varry from mediocre to very good. THe weather is hot in summer, but mild in winter. Cost of living is pretty low, but so are wages, however, with low realestate costs, it sort of evens out.
What we lack is excitment. The high light of the week is going over to the supercenter. No kidding. The nearest movie theater is about 30 miles away. SHopping is at least an hour away in wichita, there is also tuls and kansas city within driving distance.
But if you want a change from CT, this is it.
Have you husband go to Human resource dept. where he now works, Find out open avaliable jobs in other locations (in the US ?). this will also perhaps keep his seniorty with the company hopefully make a smooth transition. If Your husband workes in a specific trade, I used to live in Bethel, CT and worked in Danbury. He can also Go to Monster, or any Job search engine to find employment first before you venture out! .Good luck!
