I want a career helping people directly and that allows me to be creative and imaginative what would fit that?

Answers:
How's about being a Counsellor or Information and Advice worker, Youth and Community worker. There are courses for all 3 out there, look at info from your local college. Get some experience at a drop-in centre or information shop like the CAB.
Good luck
Art therapist. Google it.
I teach children who have educational problems, rewarding job, really helping people. Need to be both creative and imaginative. I love it,might be worth a try?
Be a nanny, or a nursery school teacher.
recreation therapist. occupational therapist
Become a solicitor or a barrister,

you get to help people in trouble and you can be very creative and imaginative with the truth.
nursing social work, police force, armed forces
Human Resources
None of the above answers (nursing, social work, police, or military) allow room for creativity or imagination - especially the last two! I am former military, I should know. Conform, conform, conform! A force working as one unit - wearing the same uniform! - is much more effective. Only in extreme, one-to-one situations will your own "creativity" be allowed to shine.

My suggestions for this type of work are:

recreational therapist
early childhood educator
interior design (depends on your def. of "help people")
crafts teacher
