Don't you just hate bossy co-workers? What can you do about them?
Answer:
Yeah, I had one and I ignored her a**. She got the point and stopped bothering me.
Yes I do-especially when they stink. I have one like that right now-mgt is aware of it all and doing nothing. My resume is getting action.
I'd say to them.
Stop pretending that you are better than me, listen we are on the same playing field, I've done nothing but respected you, so stop feeding your ego.
i usually tell them to fu ck off
I always learned the job better than them and more often than not, I became their boss.
It is a short lived satisfaction, but it is satisfaction nonetheless.
Assume that your boss knows you and your co-workers and is well aware of everybody's strengths and weaknesses. Bossiness towards a team member is a weakness; handling a difficult team member in a professional manner is a strength.
So don't blow up at your bossy co-worker. Bite your tongue, do whatever you need to do to promote team unity. Your boss will notice.
Don't you just love to hate them when the bossy ones becomes the apple-of-the-eyes of the bosses and are favored with being promoted less than one year in their employment?
