One thing that has helped me is reading books about self improvement. The best starter book is by Dale Carnegie called "How to win friends and influence people." In this large book are so many tips on how to relate to people and learn what you can do to position yourself in their favor.
Example, by listening to and asking questions of others, instead of talking about your own experiences, people will open up to you more easily. Everyone likes to talk about themselves, it's their favorite topic. . . let them.
Another great way to instill all of this knowledge contained in great books on business subjects is to listen to the books on tape, over and over. You will soon start talking and acting as successful people do, without even trying. It works!
