Legal difference between a CV & Resume ?

What if i send a CV to a recruiter and later he asks me to send a detailed resume, even if i have given all the information.

both are same, different words used in different places for same thing! maybe he just needs more information or more details!
They are the same. The word "resume" tends to be favoured by Americans, whilst the Brits use "Curriculum Vitae" or "CV".

Explain to him that you've already sent one.
