If you are often writting information for clients or other co-workers, I could see how that might effect work (if they can't understand what you are tryin to relay.usually causes complications) If not.then that sounds like a total bullshit line. Have they offered you any help with solving whatever problem that keeps coming up? Managers are supposed to help their employees be better employees.thats why they do review.to help you be a better asset to them. Otherwise.why bother having you around.
if you don't have the skills required to receive a raise, you should work to improve these skills. the company isn't going to give you a raise unless you deserve one. you're lucky they are still employing you.
