I have accepted a posistion at another firm. I've told my boss and that was nerve racking but ok. I LOVE my co-workers. Of course some more than others but overall they have been very very good to me. My boss has allowed me to tell them how I want. He thinks we should have a staff meeting where at the end I announce it to all of them. I love these guys and I'm worried. What do you all think is the best way.

Your boss' suggestion is good. If you have a couple people who you are very close with you might want to tell them in advance. But, a general announcement is good.
Tell them how much you enjoyed working with them and that you will miss them greatly. But it is time to move on and that you have accepted a position at another company.

I agree with the others. This was a great idea from your boss. This way you get to tell all of them at one time and It is not a long drawn out process. It will hurt less this way. Hopefully your co-workers will do something nice for you like cake and ice-cream!
