Has anyone finished college using the University of Phoenix online?
Answer:
I just received my MBA from UOP. I am now interviewing for teaching jobs at local universities as an adjunct professor. I have two interviews lined up. My degree has not been passed over. UOPO does not put that you graduated from an online school on the diploma. They have land campuses so, no one knows whether you graduated from an online school or from one of the campuses.
I have not had any discrepancies against my degree. I thought at first I would because of statements like the one seen here, ". . .boss throws away any resume with UOP on it." Any boss that is doing that, is doing it out of ignorance and hearsay.
Do your research, then make your choice it is up to you. My experience is good.
I have known several people who have started and finished the University of Phoenix. They went to the school though, but I know of one co worker has taken the last 4 classes on line to finish her degree. I also know a friend who works at an accounting firm doing audits and she said that her boss throws away any application that comes threw with a person who graduated from the University of Phoenix.
Shaquille O'Neal earned an online MBA through the University of Phoenix in 2005.
It is fully accredited, and any graduate school would be required to accept a University of Phoenix degree since it is from an accredited university.
Even schools like Harvard and MIT have online and distance learning programs. Anyone who is throwing away resumes because someone chose distance learning is an idiot. Online and distance learning is becoming more and more commonplace every day. I would clue in a higher up to this persons prejudice.
The University of Phoenix is NOT a diploma mill.
